My name is Tony Miller and I am a photographer who is just
starting to explore my photographic abilities. My photographic subjects include equestrian,
sports, nature and other subjects. I also enjoy designing web sites for individuals and
small organizations.
My interest in photography really took off when I began to learn how to use my first 35mm SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera. My uncle gave me a Canon AE1 that he no longer used and as I started to understand the various settings, my passion grew. A number of friends and coworkers that share my passion for photography aided my development as a photographer.
Most of the photographs you'll see on this site were taken with digital photography equipment. I voluteer my services to local organizations as a way to further enhance my own skills. I shoot events for our local Little League, including games, activities and special days. I have also gone on multiple shoots for a couple local bands which included concert, promo and CD Jacket compositions. I really enjoy doing equestrian photos which focus on the friendship and love between the rider and their horse. Capturing that raw emotion as well as spectacular action shots is an area of great importance to me in my work.
Beyond photography, I also enjoy web page design. As a computer programmer by trade, the technical details of developing web pages comes pretty natural to me. I've built a number of interactive web sites (although this site currently does not make use of those features) and continue to add new opportunities. Some of my more serious commitments include a website for our local Little League and a popular local country band.
Creativity in both my photography and web design is something I am always trying to enhance. I enjoy assignments that require me to capture more artistic compositions with my photographs. I challenge myself to further my personal expression in nature, everyday life and macro photographs. This carries over into my web design wher I often develop new layouts and graphical themes.
